Law may prevent employers from demanding social networking credentials.

A bill written by Illinois Rep. La Shawn K. Ford that prohibits Illinois employers from demanding social network user credential for potential employees is in the early stages of becoming law. With this law in place applicants would be able to file suit against any potential employer if they required applicants to submit credentials.
